Hungry Lucy LIVE and in person!!!
Saturday, December 9th, 2000
Well, it’s finally happening! We are to play live at Assimilate 2001/ The Cat Club in San Francisco on February 2nd at the good old stroke of Midnight!! We will be showcased all alone!! No other bands are playing, so we’d better make it ROCK!! War-N will be on drums, Shawn Brice (Battery/ Dia) will be on keyboards and Christa Belle will be singing solo!! If you can make it…we highly recommend it. Who knows when we’ll play live again?! Hope to see you there!!
Special thanks to DJ Fernando for organizing the gig!!
We would like to thank everyone that came out to Assimilate on Feb. 2nd for our debut live performance. It was great to meet all of you! We are now hard at work on new material as well as polishing the live show. Stay tuned for more shows in the not too distant future! Also underway is the European release of Apparitions with all new remixes and artwork … details will be posted soon!
Well, they’ve both been working on their own things!! This has no effect on Hungry Lucy as a band, they are just exploring their individuality!! War-N’s got the crazy electro multi-soundzzz going on, and Christa Belle has taken a very Goth acapella route!! It’s something you have to hear to understand. So, go listen to their stations on MP3.com. To hear War-N, go to:
Hungry Lucy have once again contributed their talents to a tribute CD. This time around, the Pet Shop Boys are being honored.
It’s official … the Hungry Lucy wagon rolls west! We will be moving out to the San Francisco Bay area at the beginning of November 2000. We plan to finally assemble a live band and start hitting the clubs. Look for a certain Shawn Brice & Maria Azevedo of Battery/Dia in the lineup.
Russian Gothic Online E-zine has written a wonderful review of Apparitions. We blush every time we read it!
Side Line magazine has added Apparitions to their “Heratbreakers” section together with a wonderful review. Also don’t miss Hungry Lucy’s interview in the latest (#33) issue of Side Line Magazine
Shawn Brice & Maria Azevedo of Battery fame have just released the debut CD from their new project, Dia. The CD, entitled Integration, brilliantly displays the diversity of these two while moving the listener through a myriad of emotions. Integration is available from www.batteryinflux.com. Strongly recommended!!
Nicolas Chevreux has penned a very flattering review of Apparitions for his industrial / darkwave webzine, Totentanz. The zine also features reviews of SMP & Skinny Puppy as well as an interview with Index. Large thanx to Nicholas for including Hungry Lucy on his fine site!
Web based Dark Music E-Zine Loop is featuring Hungry Lucy this month. Check out Loop’s Flash presentation of Hungry Lucy showcasing Ghastly Afterthoughts (MP3.com DAM CD). Much thanx to RG Geiger & Loop
