Tea with Hungry Lucy podcast - Episode 16

Tea with Hungry LucyIn a decidedly loopy Episode 16 of Tea with Hungry Lucy, Christa and War-N explain the story behind the song “In the Circle” (from the album Glo) as well as progress on their preparations for some upcoming shows. Then the conversation turned a little loopy and Christa made a very scientific comparison between internet bandwidth consumption and Pacman as War-N ranted about Ricky Gervais charging for his podcast (we are still both big fans). As usual the duo also talked about who they’ve been listening to (Cara Aley, Severed Heads, Edward Shearmur, Tomandandy). Christa shared some of her literary faves (Edward Gorey, Lemony Snicket, JK Rowling, Neil Gaiman, Poe, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Jennifer Donnelly, and HP Lovecraft) and War-N explained that he has none. The podcast ends with a clip from a reworking of “In the Circle” by Louisa John-Krol and Brett Taylor (available on the double CD comp, Primal River Valley).

Playing catch-up yesterday and made a fool of myself again sniggering too loudly on the bus and trying not to catch anyone’s eye…

That was a top episode - all that burching and belping going on. Who’s going to be the first to let one rip on a podcast; a quick one-cheek sneak ?!

You HAVE to do a videocast sometime to complete the picture of what’s going on there (War-N in his ‘Incredibles’ jim-jams and Christa in a quilted pink dressing gown with fluffy edging perhaps ?!) Heh heh.
