Hungry Lucy now available in stores wordwide!

Thursday, May 18th, 2006

CDBaby and Super DThanx to our wonderful partner CDBaby, you can now get Hungry Lucy CDs in a store near you. CDBaby has recently partnered with Super D (one of the largest one-stop CD distributors in America) to make indie artists’ CDs available in stores worldwide. Not finding Hungry Lucy in your local store is one of the biggest problems for any indie band … now? No More!

While you still may not find Hungry Lucy on the shelves, just let the folks behind the counter know they can order Hungry Lucy CDs from “Super D”. They’ll have it in your hands in a jiffy!

Huge thanx, yet again, to Derek Sivers @ CDBaby for making this happen! :)

Tea with Hungry Lucy podcast - Episode 26

Sunday, May 14th, 2006

Tea with Hungry LucyIn this week’s short Tea with Hungry Lucy podcast Christa and War-N announce a brief hiatus from the podcast so they can get some actual music done! In their absence, Christa recommends Grant Mason’s Three from Leith podcast and War-N recommends Anji Bee’s Chillcast. War-N also has a few for fellow geeks (This Week in Tech and FLOSS Weekly). War-N has one musical recommendation this week (the band Mídorí from Sweden). The episode ends with one of Christa’s sound sculpture oddities. We’ll be back in a few weeks!

Tea with Hungry Lucy podcast - Episode 25

Sunday, May 7th, 2006

Tea with Hungry LucyIn a slightly sleepy episode 25 of Tea with Hungry Lucy, War-N and Christa talk about the fun they had at ElectroFest and weekend with Shawn and I-Li of Bloodwire. The story behind the song digs into “You Are” (from the album To Kill a King) which is NOT a sexy song as some people think (video)! In the OPM (other people’s music) segment Christa talks about two songs from the Cardigans (Communication and 3:45: No Sleep) from their Long Gone Before Daylight album (War-N got the name wrong). War-N talks about the song Dragonfly by Mr. Meeble that he heard on Anji Bee’s Chillcast. He also talks about the longtime favorite song Fumbling Towards Ecstasy by Sarah McLachlan (from the album Fumbling Towards Ecstasy). On to some rest before recording next week!
