Tea with Hungry Lucy podcast - Episode 28
In episode 28 of Tea with Hungry Lucy, Christa Belle & War-N talk about continued work on the forthcoming EP “Before We Stand … We Crawl”. War-N tried to turn the podcast into a reality show by disagreeing with Christa as they discussed the Auralgasms show and chat from last week. This week’s story behind the song sheds a little light on the song “Could it Be?” (from the album Glo) as Christa reveals her creepy stalker side and War-N compares the song to the great band Collide.
In the OPM segment (other people’s music) Christa shares her love for singer-songwriter Nick Drake and particularly the album “Pink Moon” and War-N talks about the wonderful gothic, gypsy-folk (like that?) of Voltaire (performing locally on Sat. Jun 24th). Hungry Lucy are looking forward to performing with Voltaire later this year.
War-N launched into a call to action for everyone to stop the US Congress from cutting funding for NPR and PBS. This is important folks, so please do your part!
The podcast ends with a sneak peak of the new song “We Won’t Go” (from the forthcoming compilation CD, “Where’s Neil When You Need Him?“). Check out Christa’s notes on the song and watch the VIDEO HERE.

Loved the video and song. Thanks for sharing it ahead of the release date. I have my copy pre-ordered and look forward to it coming in the mail. Thanks for giving me so many nice things to look forward to; the Neil tribute CD, the podcasts on Sundays, and your upcoming EP. I really appreciate it! Helps keep me going when the days seem dark, and my own artistic efforts are in shambles. You both are quite an inspiration. I look forward to seeing you in concert if you make it to the New England area. Later, Jeff

As I’ve mentioned before, I often listen to the podcast at night, in bed, when my wife is usually already asleep. I do not know why I insist on doing that, since you two leave my gut in terrible pain trying to hold in laughter.
I had been doing well, that is until the muhnkee was released.
She was pretty grumpy for a while after my giggles subsided.
Love the song. Will you not be selling it on your website?
Should I read some of Neil Gaiman’s stories before buying the CD?
I ain’t not never heard of him til you announced the release of the CD.
Too many dang questions… I know…

Hey Angel!
that’s funny that you giggle like a school girl when listening to us at night in bed!!
Neil Gaiman’s stuff is so good. Skeb is currently reading it too. i have a lot of his stuff to read still, but it’s all great!! if you want to understand the songs more, maybe read the stories that they were all written about. ours was from the book “The Wolves in the Walls” which is more the children/young adult age group. i always thought his most popular stuff was the Sandman graphic novels. i remember reading one a long time ago, but i don’t remember which one i read. anyhoo… yes. i recommend you read Gaiman
i think my next Gaiman read will be Stardust. i have always wanted to read that one but just never had the spare reading time. i will MAKE time and finish it before the year’s end
we may sell the Gaiman tribute cd on our site, but if so we will have it after the release date most likely… as we’ll have to order them ourselves. i can’t wait to hear it!!! what a taunt it has been!
ok. too many dang answers
take care,
