Tea with Hungry Lucy Podcast - Episode 32

Tea with Hungry LucyThis week (in Episode 32) Christa and War-N have a cuppa and chat about their new cellphones (complete with HL ringtones), further progress in learning Final Cut Pro and a new Nokia device that will include some Hungry Lucy music (thanks to mp3tunes.com). The story behind the song this week is “We Won’t Go” from “Where’s Neil When You Need Him?” (Neil Gaiman tribute CD) … available on July 18th. In the OPM (other people’s music) but, War-N tells us about Corinne Bailey Rae and Christa shares her enjoyment of Lunascape. War-N also plugs a remix he did for Lunascape (available on the Venusa XX part 2 Comp.) Christa talks about about the artwork for HL’s 2nd CD, Glo. The duo also plug the forthcoming Hungry Lucy EP, “Before We Stand … We Crawl” (hopefully available July 25th).

    MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

    I want ringtones :P

I actually made one out of TKAK eeehhh that first song on Reigndance but it was just basically the first few seconds of the song… a bit crap. Right now I have Muse - Supper Massive Black Hole which I also made (I bought the album damn it!).

I still want the Tea with HL jingle, hehehe

eeehhh what else was I gunnuh say? You guys say Nokia funny! I pronounce it Noh-key-ah or somethin like that :)

  2. Christa Belle Says:

i guess we say it more like “Gnocchi-Ah?” or summit? ;) we’ll see what we can do about the HL tones for everyone who is compatible. thanks for letting us know! :)

hope your Summer is going well. ours is busy and a bit weird, but good overall. it’s 92 F here today with rising temps all week… HOT HOT HOT!!! more reasons to stay indoors with Chloe :)

Thanks for another enjoyable podcast. War-N, I hope the conversation with your boss went alright. I had a similar situation a year ago, when I ‘left’ my job to attend a six-week fiction writing workshop. Fortunately, I was able to work out an arrangement that let me come back, while also telecommuting a little while away. But I’m a contractor not a permanent employee, so there’s pros and cons with that. Good luck with all the tour preparations, hope I get to see you two in concert. Looking forward to getting (and sharing) the EP. Hope you’re having a nice week. Later, Jeff

we’re having a heatwave here so to speak… eehh not sure of the temp just now but its like 70 F which is hooott for here x_x

oh yeh meant to say that i hope things go well with your boss too mr war-n!

My summer is ok, not really having a summer cuz I just go to work and then do nothing on free days… ::big sigh::

I got a spanky new Nokia N80 last Thursday. It’s the business, I can tell you ! The only thing I’ve not done with it yet is to test it’s WiFi connection - I’ll need to find a hotspot and give it a go.

I’ve not listened to the show yet as I was cycling today in the blistering Scpttish summer weather. Our aircon at work was struggling to cope as the air outside was too hot and our sysyem couldn’t cool it enough… it was over 30 degrees inside the building as I left. Ridiculous for a building that’s only 10 years old to be so badly unable to cope with a little heat. ‘State of the art’, my foot !!

I’ll be listening on my bus commute tomorrow; my morning treat with HL !!

I’m back - great show and the burps were back in evidence ! Bummer about the repairs though :-(

I’d like a HL mp3 ringtone (though I could do one myself but I’m sure War-N will do a better job), but I think there’s a market there too for Christa doing her Jewish voice as a ringtone. I’d have that on my phone for a laugh ! I used to have Jasna shouting “Messages” as my text alert, but now I have the Young Ones quote “It’s a video nasty ! It’s a carpet, farty” screaming out when someone texts me. (The Jasna clip was recorded over three years ago on Nokia’s first cameraphone, the 7650, so the sound quality is pretty dire).

    Hope War-N’s still got a job…..
