We’re on the road to Florida and just stopped at a Denny’s outside of Chattanooga for a Boca burger and fries. I think that will be the last of those for me for a while. We’re both in good spirits today after having a couple of days rest at home. I think we’re both in a “tourâ€? frame of mind now. We had been working on details up until the last minute before our first 3 shows that we didn’t really mentally prepare. I know that must sound a little odd, but a little down-time before leaving does wonders for the mind. We plan to drive as far as Valdosta, GA tonight and finish the journey to Pinellas Park, FL tomorrow morning.

04:03:35 PM

War-N is now driving. I “subbedâ€? for him for about an hour and a half… woo hoo! I guess i’d really rather not drive, but i never mind driving when necessary.

I just cut my fingernails. Isn’t that a nice topic of conversation? I had a bad crack in a rather long nail and if it broke it would have hurt like hell. So, since we’re moving all that equipment around, i just cut them all off… right to the nub! Now, i have my little troll hands. It’s funny how different hands look with and without fingernails. I certainly can type better. Perhaps i’ll play keyboards better now too :)

Driving through Atlanta

We’ve just entered Atlanta, so we’ve still got about 4 or 5 hours of driving for the day. We’re not doing too bad on time (especially with War-N driving), so we should get to Valdosta by 8:30 and be in our “comfiesâ€? by 9. I must say that Boca burger was much heavier than past Boca burgers. A lighter lunch is a must for tomorrow!! That’s THE hardest thing on the road is food for VegHeads like us! Potatoes, potatoes and more potatoes!! My stomach feels like it has a large lump of coal in it. Perhaps I’ll poo a diamond? :)

I feel like I could take a nap. Perhaps I’ll try to… even though my chair won’t lean back very far :/ Looking forward to an early night of tv and Spaghetti-O’s!

More later,

CB

It’s all about the monkeys!

We’re home for a couple of days before heading to Florida. We’ve been having many troubles with our video system, so we will likely be without it for the next four shows until we can figure out a more stable system. You just can’t rely on anything 100%… what a positive outlook, ay? :) We’ve had some ups and downs during the first three shows, but the main thing is that we had fun performing. Despite all the BS we’ve encountered so far, meeting the lovely people, and performing our music, has been very fun!

OPie MuhnkeeIn Chicago I actually interviewed our long time pal Angel! He gave us a brilliant present of a new HL member. We will elaborate more on OPie Muhnkee a bit later. He’s still acclimating to his new home and fighting his need for a nap with a vengeance!! I hope to post my interview with Angel on a future VidCast for “Behind the Tourâ€? which will appear, well, after the tour. I must make sure I have his complete consent to post his interview segments. I hope to interview some more folks on our adventures and am looking forward to meeting some other long-time fans!

We are staying home an extra day. We had planned to leave on Tuesday to go to Florida, but we need more time at home to gather some more things before we leave again. So, we shall drive a long ass time on Wednesday and get to our destination on time on Thursday.

War-N, CB and Bobo the monkeyThe worst thing that has happened on tour thus far was that I accidentally dropped Trevor and he shattered!!! I may be able to operate and fix him, but he’ll never be quite the same. Damn it all!!! I truly almost cried when I did it. I screamed a few obscenities quite loudly in the club in Peoria and people were like “what happened?â€? and I said “I can’t F***ing believe I dropped him!!â€? I just stared in disbelief at the floor at our poor, poor friend. I am a murderess :( We did get to meet yet another monkey (Bobo) in Peoria though.

Well, it’s time for a cuppa tea and to try and calm down for the day. It’s been a roller coaster in just this short time and my brain just can’t keep up. I know the next few days will be better… I hope.

Take care,

CB & W

CB outside I-Rock The first show of the tour is now under our belts. We had a good show and the folks that did come out were very enthusiastic. My 5am wake up had certainly caught up with me (War-N) by the time we were done. A few tech glitches, but nothing a little hard drive maintenance won’t remedy (we hope). That’ll be the first thing on my list when we arrive in Peoria. It’s about 9:30 am and we’re just about to grab some breakfast before the day’s journey. Generally we’re in good spirits. The light turnout translated to a financial hit for us … hopefully the shows will pick up.
