A late transmission of nothingness this week after a weekend away in Kentucky. The past week brought strange music in Christa’s head, lots of video and picture taking and some new thoughts on future music for War-N. Some complaints were made about people being quite rude in the post office, and how people can be quite cruel in general. The OPMs of the week are Tre Lux, a solo project by Tina Root (of Switchblade Symphony fame) and R/R Coseboom, which consists of two members of the band Halou. Ramblings are continued about Boobie Tea, great new cookbooks and boring movies. Oh what a fun show!
Don’t forget, as we did, about the T-shirt Contest Newsletter! Coming soon to an Inbox near you soon

Holy T-shirt! It’s announced! A contest to design the next Hungry Lucy t-shirt! Rules, regulations and such will be announced in a newsletter emailed later this week. How exciting!!
In other news, War-N gets familiar with his new Mac, Christa gets even more familiar with her kitchen and the duo have a non-musical week. Two birthdays were enjoyed, snow fell and W&CB were generally pretty domestic. A forgetful CB either forgot or can’t remember Skeb’s wondrous birthday!!! Nooooo!! With all the computer swapping, Christa keeps losing all of her calendar info. Don’t worry Skeb, it’s not just your birthday I’ve forgotten! Besides, I didn’t really forget it, because it’s been on my mind
So, here’s to better memory, hopefully, and a great new HL shirt for 2007! Maybe we’ll have some new music soon too! But for now, it’s Lazagna time…YUM!!!

Episode 57 of Tea with Hungry Lucy starts off with War-N apologizing for dissing his own music after being set straight by Angel (Kingizzard). Christa agrees with Angel and points out that War-N was doing the dissing, not her. Hungry Lucy treats us to a live performance of “Open Window” (from the album Glo) and the pair discuss past live performances of the song. Christa tells us that t-shirts are coming soon. Other people’s music touches on Erasure and their fab 1992 concert DVD “The Swan, the Tank and the Balloon“.

War-N HL Podcast
In this week’s particularly nonsense-filled episode, Christa and War-N chat about work on a new Hungry Lucy song which has them both feeling pretty happy about the new year already. A return to the Story Behind the Song segment touches on the song “Blame” (from the album, “Apparitions“). War-N calls it filler, while Christa calls it therapy. Other People’s Music for this week focuses on the fabulous local duo, Over the Rhine and their albums “Drunkard’s Prayer” and “Live from Nowhere, Volume 1” … lovely heart-felt music. War-N also talks about the Belgian group Airlock and their documentary soundtrack “The Long Journey Home“. War-N also played an Airlock song on Episode 9 of The Sonic Spotlight (which War-N’s Dad refers to as “The Splodcast”)
