Tea with Hungry Lucy – Episode 58

Tea with Hungry LucyHoly T-shirt! It’s announced! A contest to design the next Hungry Lucy t-shirt! Rules, regulations and such will be announced in a newsletter emailed later this week. How exciting!!

In other news, War-N gets familiar with his new Mac, Christa gets even more familiar with her kitchen and the duo have a non-musical week. Two birthdays were enjoyed, snow fell and W&CB were generally pretty domestic. A forgetful CB either forgot or can’t remember Skeb’s wondrous birthday!!! Nooooo!! With all the computer swapping, Christa keeps losing all of her calendar info. Don’t worry Skeb, it’s not just your birthday I’ve forgotten! Besides, I didn’t really forget it, because it’s been on my mind :) So, here’s to better memory, hopefully, and a great new HL shirt for 2007! Maybe we’ll have some new music soon too! But for now, it’s Lazagna time…YUM!!!

Hungry Lucy want’s YOUR feedback: More live performances on the podcast? What songs would you like to hear? Which songs means something to you, and why?
Please, tell us what is on your mind in text or using your sweet sounding voice!

I wish I was gifted in the graphic design area, but alas I’ll have to sit out the competition :-(

I do hope you managed to keep War-N away from his worshipping at the altar of the white box God for long enough to eat his dinner. I nearly said ‘tea’ there, as we Scots refer to ‘having our tea’ meaning ‘having our dinner’ – hence the famous welcome for any caller from a canny Scot – “Come awa’ in; ye’ll have had yer tea !”.

‘Tea with Hungry Lucy’ might have a wholly different meaning here…

    Yay :D I hope a lot of people decide to enter the comp! :D Makes it more fun :) I will try my best with it! o.o;

no worries about my birthday, cuz i havent listened to much of your podcasts lately (ive just been busy! hehehehhhh…) plus I went to look for the posters you guys gave me and well… … …. i cant find them ._. so, i think that its okay that your birthday wishes are late :D thankoo hehe (5th Jan is my birthday :D )

Colours for t-shirts… i think black and dark blue, and possibly that dark green colour… :S

Id say sign the booklet when signing cds. I always thought on the box was good, but think about if the box gets broken :O not good! :S

I would like to hear more of the Hungry Lucy/Thorn Apple version of “Here Comes the Rain Again” that you played ages ago :P it was pretty, and made me go buy the Euyrithmics best of cd ( i hope i spelled the name right x_X durrrr)

    big hugs and loves!

Yeah CD booklet is what I think should be signed too.

I hope you will give us time for the contest… I just started an art class (drawing nekked people) tonight, and will still be working 40+ hours a week. Yeesh.

Tea Shurts I think are best in black. Other colors have to mesh well with any color in the shirts’ design also, and that can be difficult without a neutral color (or lack of… white/grey/black).

More stuff was mentioned that I want to comment on but I listened to that like 14 hours ago… my teacher wants me to draw my hand several times for Thursday since I have had no formal training since 1996. Yeesh.

Oh. Kick that damn Muhnkee for me…

    Love,
    The Great Gizzard

JANUARY 5TH…GOT IT!!! so sorry dearie. you know we love ya to death :) :)

As far as time for the contest, don’t worry. You’ll be given plenty of time. We must raise the funds to make the shirts by the deadline! :O

Thanks for the colour stuff guys. I figured black, dark blue and maybe a dark green too. We’ll see what artwork comes first and decide then.

We’ll do our best on the “Here Comes the Rain Again”. I think we only played a snippet of it on TWHL before. We shall try and play the entire version on Sonic Spotlight :)

Stay tuned for the newsletter at the end of the week. Now, I’m off to sleepytime tea land!

    love to all,

    cb

Skeb. Stop doubting, look at my MySpace page and see what my first serious attempt at drawing a human in over 12 years has produced.

    You are a great artist.
