Tea with Hungry Lucy - Episode 66 (We Won’t Go live performance)
Lot’s to talk about in episode 66 of Tea with Hungry Lucy. After a one week hiatus, War-N and Christa fresh from their refreshing vacation in the Smokie Mountains share some of their time away from reality. Lots of new music, including a new intro and live performance of “We Won’t Go” (from the Neil Gaiman tribute CD “Where’s Neil When You Need Him?“. War-N cranked out 5 new pieces of music during the 4 day trip … amazing what a little disconnected time will do! There was also lots of random banter with War-N’s Mum and Dad and some bottles of loverly wine … and you get to listen in. Mum and Dad even pick the OPM (other people’s music) for the week. Mum’s pick is Johnny Ray and his song “Cry“, while Dad’s pick is Dead Can Dance, and their album “Toward the Within“. DCD provides the perfect musical backdrop for treks through the wondrous nature of the Great Smokies.
While you’re here … have a look a some holiday snaps.

Sooo glad to hear about “We Won’t Go”…that song continues to haunt and inspire me. Hope to see you guys back in New Orleans sometime soon. I daresay your music was just the breath of fresh air this city needed…we will stay hungry!

Here it goes again…
I think that was your best podcast performance ever, thank you so much, I didn’t expect a song this week.
Also a big thanks for saying you will continue with the Sonic Spotlight. You seem to always have at least two artists I want to hear more from…

I missed this show and played catch-up yesterday. The Harrison seniors sound such lovely people and so much fun to have around. My in-laws used to be like that, but then they went off the rails and then so did my marriage
The Smokey Mountains look gorgeous. I love mountainous areas and holidays there. My own love is the Julian Alps on Slovenia. I used to go every year, then stopped for a two years when I separated and then went on my own as a last-minute hol in 2003. It was utterly magical to do it alone, as I got to go out walking in the hills and mountains all day nearly every day, with no-one moaning about being bored and having sore feet. You can see a few shots of the holiday here.
I am having severe withdrawal symptoms from not having been back since due to ‘insufficient funds’, so hearing others enjoying a mountain break and having a wonderful time was a lovely little pick-me-up.

Grant,
Slovenia looks amazing. You are quite the photographer, you have some breathtaking shots, we thought. Well done sir! Hope you are able to return again in the not too distant future.
