The faint at heart beware this episode. Christa has a potty mouth and some very disturbing news is revealed. War-N decided to announce the end of “Tea with Hungry Lucy” and, unfortunately, the end of Hungry Lucy. A decidedly one-sided decision, Christa flaunts her disagreement to the end of HL. I have not even listened to the ep. yet, but I will say this: Nice try on an April Fool’s. I almost fell for it. If I was feeling so guilty about being too busy to get in a design for the t-shirt contest I wouldn’t have noticed the date.

I can’t listen right now because my hamster Nora’s thundering away in her wheel and would drown you out, but once she’s gone back to sleep I’ll download it.
And thanks so much for listening to my suggestion not to talk straight after a live performance, I really appreciate it. “We Won’t Go” must be so tough to sing, Christa, with all those long notes, but you pulled it off beautifully. I like the different music as well.
Anyone who hasn’t bought “Where’s Neil When You Need Him?” on which you can find “We Won’t Go”: it’s a fantastic album. Apart from WWG, my favourites are Deine Lakaien’s “A Fish Called Prince” and Ego Likeness’s “You Better Leave The Stars Alone”.
Oh, and it’s so cool that your dad likes Dead Can Dance, War’N. Funny coincidence that Toward The Within should feature on the podcast just when I’ve won a copy on eBay.

I too felt my heart sink when I read the podcast description, but I then grew suspicious at the April 1 coincidence (a day late here though). A quick listen to the podcast confirmed the cruel prank - but I decided to play along with it with a suitably “vague” reply so as not to spoil things!

Holy-shit-no! Man, I came late to this whole Hungry Lucy thing and now it’s over? Aw, nuts! I kept hoping you guys would come to my town after I’d heard of you, but it was sadly not to be. Can we all popularly demand that you stay together? At least for a bit? Enough to visit Michigan?

Oh my poor heart !!! I read the email on my phone this morning (Monday) and I was shocked. Then I remembered what date yesterday was, and I was proved correct when I had a listen (I’m off work feeling a bit under the weather today).
And you mentioned Cadburys Creme Eggs - I started drooling that instant and I have one calling to me from the fridge…

Didn’t think the podcast meant so much to me, it was actually quite sad to hear you argueing…but then you made the joke….phew!
Good fooling but I guess it’ll have made people realise how much (or little) they cared for the crazy world of Hungry Lucy….

I listened really close trying to hear a slip up…a hint of laughter…not sure if I heard it. How hard was that? Not laughing as you were recording it? Truth be told, how many takes did you do in order to get it right?
Fortunately for me I didn’t get a chance to listen till the 2nd, and the truth of the matter was already revealed. I can safely say I would have never fallen for such a rouse…

Thanks for the info on Before the Music Dies. Sounds very interesting. I actually just commented on Anji Bee’s site on how cool it is for music fan’s like me, to get a look inside the music industry. It’s very interesting to hear about how artists feel about the various things going on. The changes to the licensing, and your thoughts, are another example. Thanks for another fun episode.

Well, I fell for the joke. I could not believe how disappointed I was until I learned it was a joke. You guys, with the music and podcasts & updates, have come to mean more to me than I realized. I’m really looking forward to the next cd and, I hope, maybe a video or two? But again, that WAS a cruel April Fool’s.

The ice cream thing is just more proof that the people in Kentucky are crazy!!
The sad part is, that I never thought that was an April Fools joke 
Just goes to show you what I think of the other people in this state (yeah, I live in Kentucky)
