Tea with Hungry Lucy - Episode 72 (Bindlestiff and Piggers)
Yet another oddity of independent broadcasting graces our ears this week as War-N and Christa tell of their week, including a fun evening with Amy (Diet Audio) and Dan (Shitkickers). Sunday was spent with some mild creative success and a little frustration. The duo crack back into the OPM (Other People’s Music) segment in which Christa shares her spiritual enlightenment from Mavis Staples (NPR segment) and War-N chats about Junior Boys and Lenka. War-N also tells us about remixes he is starting for Lovespirals and Diet Audio. Christa is sure to add some vocal delights as well. While it’s hard to discern the meaning, CB & W then launch into some alternative storytelling and wander off to dinner. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any more (Bindlestiff) strange!

Hi War-N and Christa,
Thanks for another enjoyable podcast. I love the music at the beginning and end. Were the sound effects at the end part of it or just playing around with the podcast? Because I thought it was really different and interesting, kind of funny, but considering your personalities it fit. I appreciate your childish banter, and still fondly recall such podcasted incidents as the War-N-Robot … picturing him wearing a box pretending to be a robot always gives me a chuckle. Ok I think I’ve rambled enough. Good luck with all the new music. I enjoy hearing about your creative process, when it works and when it doesn’t. I haven’t done much fiction writing, so it’s inspiring to hear about your trials.

I’m still listening, though I’m a bit lax in my commenting of late - apologies ! Sorry to hear about the car, Christa. I guess too much TFL was bad for its health….
