Tea with Hungry Lucy - Episode 75 (Some sort of Awesome Park)
Hey. it’s time for another Tea with Hungry Lucy. This week CB and War-N talk about their Tuesday show at Northside Tavern. The seemingly dodgy PA surprised us all. The pair also talk about their upcoming show on Fountain Square which will debut a new version of the song that started it all (Blue Dress). Christa talks about her new video series that shows us all what goes on behind the scenes. OPM’s this week include CB’s picks: Michael Oberst and Nathaniel Seer and War-N’s picks: Stephanie’s ID (and their new CD) and an alternate piece of media in the shape of Tyim Courts’ brilliant 3-a-week comic strip, Under the Lids. War-N speaks of future music and keeping it more layered than the stripped down versions they’ve been doing live.
Do you want SHOUTOUT back …. comments? here.

You cheeky buggars with your Sopranos ending ….
And let it be known that some members of the Harrison family are avid JJ shoppers like you. And also let it be known that Tyim’s cartoons are amazing. And also let it be known that HL rocks !!!!

Yes we’d definitely like Shoutout back. It’s great to have a place for those comments that need a home and aren’t connected with one of your podcast episodes

We loved the video. All good stuff ….very interesting. Even though we’ve seen your rehearsal space and live setup, it certainly looked cool on the video.
Keep ‘em coming

[...] I dedicate this strip to my good friend, my co-worker, genius code monkey and marvelous musician, war-n harrison, who is 7 feet away from me as I type this, because him and his wife ROCK. Please add the Life with Hungry Lucy videos to your iTunes feed. I don’t visit your page on a daily basis, but I do use my iPod daily and subscribe to many Podcasts. Thanks.

What was funniest about the ending of the episode for me was, well, how long it took for me to get the joke…
I rarely used the Shoutouts, tried to post mainly in here, or contact you directly, however I did see that other peeps used it more. I think it should stay…
I agree that part of the magic of your music is in the ‘layers.’ That is why I prefer to listen to you with headphones.
As for iTunes, I bet more people would get the videos if you posted there, but I personally do not have a video iPod…
Be Good!!

Oh yeah! Forgot to mention…
I love Stephanie’s Id also. I wish I lived closer to you guys sometimes just so I could make it to such neat shows!
I have been listening to the samples on Myspace of SI’s new stuff and well, it has kinda started to grow on me… seems a little darker to me.
After listening to ‘White Guys…’ on the Sonic Spotlight I HAD to get thier album, but not to sure about this new sound.
Hey, have you guys thought about playing clips in your OPM section?
Be Good!

we do play some clips on occasion, and it would be like a semi-continuation of Sonic Spotlight. It’s not out of the question, and something we’ll probably do once in a while.
thanks for the feedback on iTunes and Shoutout. i think Shoutout should stay and we should offer the videos on iTunes as well. just MY two cents
well, be good everyone. and to quote a very great man, “if you can’t be good, be careful!”

I’m still recovering from my bout of endless giggles which started with ‘pumping’… I hope you realise just how much you brighten up my Mondays, even though I am a week behind again ! Thank you. I’d be a miserable bugger without my weekly giggle
Off to watch this video now…
