Tea with Hungry Lucy #79 (Wawawawa Beechmont)

July 15th, 2007

Tea with Hungry LucyEarly Sunday morning…huh? In an earlier than usual podcast, the duo chat about the progress on their new track “Hill”, which is coming along quite nicely! CB goes on a small Gardening expedition and War-N quotes Rollo from Faithless on “not catering to anyone’s taste but your own.” That said, Faithless was this week’s OPM, without the catchy little jingle. CB&W enjoyed a fabulous film called “The Fountain” and marveled at the film’s visuals and story. Wow…what a Hugh Jackman you have!!

More progress on the t-shirts. An order will surely follow soon (probably in a couple of weeks) and we can all wear new HL t-shirts designed by Neil! :) But, we need your input. What size do you prefer? We will have regular black t-shirts, baby doll t’s and the long sleeved hoodies. How do you like yours…small, medium, large, XL or more? Let us know HERE.

XL in a regular tshirt – L can be OK but it’s a little snug these days… :-\ lol

    XXL… in just about everything…

I only really remember one strange jingle from a kid, it was a local commercial…

A young African American, in a ‘fast food’ outfit looks at the camera and says,

“I’m done flippin’ burgers and fryin’ fries,
I’m gettin’ it together and I realize,
that to be a success takes determination,
So I enrolled at The College of Education.”

Change of venue, our ‘jive turkey’ type of gent is now all cleaned up and wearing a suit,

    “The College of Education,
    Give ‘em a call,
    Just dail SUCCESS
    S-U-C-C-E-S-S
    Success!
    S-U-C-C-E-S-S
    Succeesssssss….”

You allow the last ’success’ to trail off, because you are so, um, hip.

And yes, SUCCESS was the phone number… 782-2377…

I absolutely loathe babydoll tees…they’re clingy, uncomfortable, short, and stupid-looking to say the very least.
    A normal, short-sleeve t-shirt that I could reconstruct in a size L would be perfect. :]

ok. looking like M through 2XL is our range. I distinctly remember not being able to move a lot of the small regular t-shirts last time. Good to know. Thanks!

On the baby doll t’s, i know a lot of girls/women prefer those these days. I can wear them most of the time, but I agree they can be a bit on the clingy side. I was just thinking for those who wanted them it might be a nice change :)

Also, baby doll t’s are NOT a nightie known as a “teddy”, Mr. Harrison sir ;) Just a more form-fitting, shapely cut t-shirt for women who like them. I do like that the shoulders are better fitting on smaller shouldered gals like myself. I guess there are a lot of pro’s and con’s to all shirts, really.

Thanks a lot for all the info guys. Keep it comin’!!

    Take care

    Colours?
Are the T-shirts just going to be black, because white is always nice for a non goth look, lol :-)

Christa, do you look like a very young Pamela Stevenson? Just seen her for the first time in ages and she looks a tad similar in your future …EXCEPT SHE LOOKS 15 YEARS OLDER (COS SHE IS!)…
Do you know of Billy Connolly?

i know of Billy Connolly, but not Pamela Stevenson. I’ll save the thanks until I see her ;)

on the t-shirts, black is our current main colour. We need to discuss that as well, but the first run will be all black.

    thanks.

Can’t see any resemblance to the Pamela Stephenson we remember from the 80’s. We remember her saucy sketch for American Express on “Not The Nine O’clock News” …. “That’ll do nicely thank you sir ………… ” Didn’t realize her career path had changed so drastically since then until we checked her out today. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pamela_Stephenson

i can “sorta” see it in the eyes, but the blonde hair really gets in the way. i know for sure i won’t be blonde anytime soon. but thanks for the intelligent eyes and warm face similar qualities! :)
