Tea with Hungry Lucy #80 (bearded men in tutus)
The blue screen of death nearly prevents episode 80 from seeing the light of day. As Christa and War-N speak their special brand of nonsense and tell us tales of hearing disorders, bearded men in tutus, the planting of trees and other such oddities. Final mixing of the song, Hill is complete and War-N keeps us guessing about its impending release. Christa shares her impressions of the delightful Prairie Home Companion film (and radio show) and War-N does his best Garrison Keillor impersonation … nose whistle and all.
Thanks for all the orders this week folks! How was your week? Mac or PC for you?.

We just ‘upgraded’ to Mac at work in late spring.
The computers are pretty.
That’s it.
I can’t stand the keyboards, too curvey, and the keys themselves are too smooth causing you to slip and hit wrong keys. Not to mention some of them are breaking already.
The mouse is hard to hold on to, difficult to move, and even harder to click for big hands that have some signs of carpal tunnel.
They have MS Office, but everything seems bass ackwards, and 3 of the computers have crashed enough to have a service tech work on them.
Yuck.

i guess it’s all just a matter of preference. i adore my Mac and would never go back to a “Windon’t” machine! I don’t have very many strong opinions, but this is one of them. I agree with Peter, of PNC, about putting MS Office on a Mac. Why?
As far as the other complaints you had, Angel, I have small hands and don’t have the problems you do with that area. But, I’ve never lost control of the mouse or anything. What are you doing anyway??
I do have carpal tunnel too, so there!
But hey… one man’s blue screen is another man’s musical demise!

Bah!
I do love my iPod…
At the animal hospital, you have to type fast, VERY often… and our stoopid computer system (for entering charges) sux too, so that compounds the error factor.
But yeesh, I say again, YEESH I hate ‘dem machines!
These are the iMac flat screen all in one thingeys also, not sure if that makes a difference… but I did notice that paper clips stick to the sides of them, magnetically…
People tell me I should be careful and not put the clips there, cuz it may break the hard drive… not sure if that is true, but here’s to hoping!!!
