No podcast this week (Halloween week) folks. We’ll be back next week with some new remix news and other fun.
In episode 91 of Tea with Hungry Lucy, Christa and War-N discuss their weekend of terrabyte hard drives and turning fences into tables. One of Hungry Lucy’s remixes is released on the “Helpline” single from Polish band, God’s Bow. HL remixed the track “This Perfect Time” into chilled, downtempo bliss. The big news this week is the availability of a brand new song from HL called “Hill”. This song will be released alongside Skinny Puppy, Robert Smith, Type O Negative, Lacuna Coil, Lunascape even an Edgar Allen Poe reading by actor Christopher Lee. We’re talking about the Asleep by Dawn Magazine Presents: DJ Ferret’s Underground Club Mix #3 CD + DVD. This very special compilation will be released on Oct. 30. 2007 exclusively at Hot Topic stores throughout the U.S. (for only $6.98 USD). OPMs this week delve into Hate Dept. Both Christa and War-N find Steven Seibold to be pretty dreamy. War-N’s pick this week is the latest album from former teen pop star, Mandy Moore entitled “Wild Hope“. War-N’s fave track is the song “Gardenia“. He heard all about this release on the Paste Culture Club podcast. There is also a nice “making of” video on Mandy’s website. CB and War-N also recently enjoyed the deliciously inappropriate humor of the film Lollilove (written, directed by and starring Jenna Fischer or The Office fame).
Until next time … that is all. Speak your mind, why don’t you?.

Well, hello there! HL are back this week, as is the Halloween intro, with another fun amount of time filled with stories, bread tips, OPM’s, drivel, and sickie germs! War-N’s a bit under the weather, but it didn’t stop him from working on music. War-N discusses the new trend in more big artists who are chucking their record labels and going for it on their own terms. A few of which are Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails and Madonna. Yeee haw!! You get to hear War-N’s OPM, his big brother, D James Harrison, in his song called “The Conclusion”. You can view the lovely video of said song here. CB’s OPM was Anita Baker and her album “Giving You the Best That I’ve Got”. CB recalls just how difficult Anita’s songs are, due to her lovely large vocal range, and how fun it was trying to sing along anyway! Christa also chats briefly about her new lens and some new, strange goings on in the house with possible spirits…or is it the fact that she needs to go to the eye doctor? After talking about his new gadget, War-N ends the ‘cast by saying he needs his recliner. May he rest in peace
Also mentioned: “Independence is Bliss” and “Stay Floaty” t-shirts. Until next time, don’t interrupt. It’s bad manners!
