Tea with Hungry Lucy #98 (Eunice and Clara, NAKED!)

Tea with Hungry LucyNasal voices, many belches and a funny misunderstanding whilst making the tea! Just a few of the topics mentioned on this week’s TWHL! CB lets us know that her DVD making is done and she can now send them off to their respectful recipients! Aren’t you glad you know this? War-N shares the enthusiasm of his new toy, BFD2, and the delicious drumminess that will follow on new HL tunage. OPM’s of the week are Antony and the Johnsons, which was CB’s pick, and their song “Hope There’s Someone” (from the “I Am a Bird Now” album). Go watch the live video below! War-N’s pick was Sia and her new album “Some People Have Real Problems“. Her very bizarre video for the song “Buttons” is also below. A luscious videofest!

We’re still yearning to hear from you and what you think of TWHL. We want to air your views on our podcast (good, bad or otherwise!) for exposure in the 100th episode. Only a couple of weeks left to really let us have it in the ear’oles!

Ending this jam-packed episode is a live performance of the song “Good Girl” from the album “To Kill A King“. Listen as the subtle piano and gentle vocals lull you to sleep, or bring tears to your eyes. Either way, it’s lovely.

Speaking of live performances, go vote NOW for a live Hungry Lucy internet concert at DeepRockDrive! Don’t you want to see HL perform exactly what you want to hear? Get any camera angle you want? Answer questions via live chat? Then go on and vote for it, silly!! :) They have to reach 1000 Votes to be able to do the show. Tell a friend, tell your Mom. Tell everyone to vote now! That is followed with a please, of course :)

Lyrics to the new 2008 Jingles! You wanted ‘em, you got ‘em!

I found this link, Youtube Conan Sia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YpmGy3bX84&e hope it works and helps. On Sia’s buttons, I think she says “pushing my imaginary buttons” right at the beginning. Thanks for another enjoyable podcast.

  2. War-N Says:

Thanks for that Jeff. I didn’t realize she chatted with Conan after the commercial break. I totally missed that before … doi! :)

  3. Christa Belle Says:

Aha! I heard the “buttons” this round. Thanks! I find that video so funny and strange. Ain’t it grand?

    Have a good week, ya’ll!

    Much Love,

    You asked for ideas for the website;
And yes it needs updated, I got all excited with my 1st visit to your page last year (I really don’t go to artist’s web pages that often) when I saw the Front 242 contest, well until I saw it was for 2005!

I just signed up for a 10ยข a day subscription (the base subscription) to Kristin Hersh’s CASH music project. http://cashmusic.org

I find this to be an interesting way to support one of my favorite artists.

Maybe you could do something like this, or offer an early pre-order option for your next CD to help offset the CD production and include some bonus item for those that pre-order.

    Loving the new jingles BTW!

Thanks for some great OPM’s !!! We absolutely love Sia and Antony and the Johnsons. But have to say we enjoyed Boy George’s performance also on the bit we listened to..

Great live rendition of “Good Girl” !!!!!!!!!!!

Is it live, or is it Memorex?

    Remember that slogan?

I found myself saying that when listening your live performance… outstanding!

I liked that Sia song, but I wish I hadn’t seen the video… If I ever end up getting some of her music, whenever that song comes on I will only see her head bobbing around in my head.

    Make sense?

The Conan interview was cute though- the whole “If you take a bite out of Austrailia” thing is priceless…

  7. Christa Belle Says:

Why would you not want to see Sia’s characteristic head bobbing in your head? It’s so friggin’ cute and such a strange image :) I Loved it and am glad it is haunting me daily!!

Thanks for the comments on the live performance. I felt good about it, too. It feels so good to sing lately. Good practice for our upcoming show in Connec-ti-cut. :)

I guess to most folks the Boy George performance would be ok. I just heard things about it that made my head turn sideways and found it rather unpleasant. Especially after hearing Antony’s loverly, unmatchable voice. And no…I’m not talking about Auto-Tune, for once! ;)

Well, back to it. It’s someone’s birthday dinner tonight!! ;)

Love to all and keep the comments comin’!!
