Tea with Hungry Lucy #101 (Poiters Poicklets)

Tea with Hungry Lucy (now with added socks)In episode 101 of Tea with Hungry Lucy, the nonsense once again flows like fine whining. The duo tell us about the fun afternoon spent with family from down under. War-N and CB also tell us about a new song in the works and even share some delicious vocal layers with us. We then discover (and hear) that War-N sounds a little bit like a muted trumpet … how odd! Hungry Lucy will be producing a new video podcast in the next couple of weeks. They want YOU to let them know what you want to see. For other people’s music this week, Christa delves into the nice breaths of Julee Cruise and her work in David Lynch‘s films. War-N tells us about the new single from Goldfrapp‘s forth-coming album “Seventh Tree” called “A and E” (as well as Alison’s delicious, thigh-high boots!). We are also curious about the origins of the chucklesome faux-gameshow “Numberwang“.

Props to all the fine folks that our inluding Hungry Lucy’s music in their YouTube creations. Some really cool stuff up there.

So, tell us…what do you want to see if our next video podcast?

P seems to be the secret letter for the weekend. Without even planning it we had many “Ps” this weekend, PMS Pizza, Pasta Primavera, Popcorn, Pretzles and Paczkis (not prune!).

Now I’m hungry! How about showing us the sunday meal prep in the next life with Hungry Lucy?

I too somehow missed the last Julee Cruise release. I went to iTunes to listen to it and read the review which mentions Ann Magnuson. I see I missed her last release too. More albums to add to my wish list!

Of movie soundtracks I would put “Fire Walk With Me” in my list of top 5 favorite soundtracks, “Sycamore Trees” gives me goosebumps.

Oh and heads up, “Lost Highway” is finally coming to DVD in the states on March 25th. I can finally replace my LaserDisc edition.

I’ve never even seen Braveheart. An good? I’m not a huge Mel Gibson fan, so it’s not high on my list. That doesn’t mean the soundtrack isn’t awesome though, right??

Bibo, I like the ides of showing some Sunday Supper prep on the next video podcast. Good idear there, son! :)

Well, on to the day. Tea is waiting!!

    Much Love to all!!

Braveheart ? Pah – an anti-semitic (allegedly !!) Aussie playing a Scotsman with an appalling accent. Hollywood tosh and an affront to every living Scot.

Numberwang – from ‘That Mitchell & Webb Look’ series on the BBC. You can even play the game at home here.

I’d like to see some of the actual recording of TWHL on the video podcast – I really want to see War-N yelling when he joins in the theme tune as it ends ;-)

    Hey War-N and Christa Belle,

what I surely want to see in a next videopodcast is War-N doing the muted trumpet. That sounded really awesome!

    Christa:

Braveheart is THE Mel Gibson movie. If you ever see one of his films, let it be this one.

    Grant:

Ignore that the accent was bad, that the Wallace family were not peasant farmers, or that the battle of Stirling was actually fought on a bridge, and the movie is quite a good MOVIE.
