Tea with Hungry Lucy #103 (the strong and windy toad)
On a particularly windy episode of Tea with Hungry Lucy, Christa and War-N chat about their chat after the Secondshifters.com interview/podcast that premiered on Saturday. You can grab the podcast mp3 and chat transcript from Secondshifters.com. Christa tells us about her Tai Chi (and Chai Tea) plans. War-N talks about prep for the upcoming HL performance at the Blacksun Festival in New Haven, CT on March 14th. OPM this week becomes other people’s munchies as Christa talks about a yumscious lunch at La Bodega in Oxford, OH. War-N has a couple of musical picks. The first being a fabulous singing laptop called Mr. Hopkinson’ s Computer (thanks Grant) and the second being another of War-N’s electronic music inspirations, Jean Michel Jarre and his new Oxygene “Live in Your Living Room” DVD. Videos of both are below (or here if you can’t see ‘em).

Oooooo - an SE Reflexion filter !!! I had one of those to test for Podcast User Magazine at the end of 2006 / start of 2007. It was rather large for my wee studio area (ie the computer unit in the corner of my bedroom), but it was good fun and effective in use. Podcasting using it was like staring into a black hole though. Here’s a link to a photo (there are a couple more in that set):
Thanks for the mention and shownotes link - and for the Jarre clip / DVD mention. Wasn’t aware of that - I was a big fan until Cousteau On The Beach and then I lost interest. Did get the re-recorded, surround-mixed album a few years ago though, which was great to hear.
Sorry I missed the SecondShifters live interview - it was a bit middle-of-the-night, UK time
Ta ta !

That looks like the one we’re getting. I remember your tests with it, and you could tell a difference. It was cleaner, not that your recordings are dirty
But, we’ll just be using it for recording. Not for the podcast. I remembered you hated giving it up!
I just don’t understand why you wouldn’t want to be up at 3 AM in a chatroom??
Nah. I didn’t at first, even at 10 PM. But, it got fun and interesting fast.
Hope everyone is well!
Take care,
