hard drive, then crash
We made it to within 20 miles of New Haven after a 15 hour day on the road. The drive was mostly uneventful, which is just the way we like it. Our new guide Hortense saw us through just fine. After a night of much needed rest, we shall meet up with Shawn & I-Li and have a nice chilled day before our sound check at 4pm.
Now …. food and zzzzzzz

Well, heck, I loved ya, anyway. Christa, you were in fine voice, War-N, you were in fine bongo, and your “ad” for chocolate cracked me up. It was such a tiny bunch of people there for your set that I was pretty dismayed–based on the lineup, I was worried that people were just there for some up-tempo bump and had no time for your more atmospheric palettes. But no boos, right? So, bonus. I hope you both felt good about it.
I would have “woo”ed more and louder, but I was, er…recording the show for personal posterity. War-N, I know your position on Creative Commons, but where do you stand on live taping (i.e. bootlegging)? I’m a complete and utter amateur at this (and the results showed…yikes), but the “old” argument that many bands had against taping was that it competed with legitimate product the band wanted to sell themselves, or that it mis-represented how the band wanted to present themselves.. In the 21st century, the Age Of File-Sharing, this sounds like a pretty dead argument to me. What would you say the “new” argument is? Or is there any? Does that make any sense at all? If not, please take no notice. I’m old.
Anyway, I thought you did very well–your video projections are classy and diverse, the new arrangement of “Blue Dress” is pretty neat, and I really enjoyed “The Standing Ones”–quite soulful. If that was the first time you did that live, extra points to you. After 7+ years of enjoying your music, it was a real (chocolate?) treat. Thanks!

Sorry about the poor choice of title there!
We just (as in 10 mins ago) got home after 12.5 hrs of solid driving. Expect a full recap of the show and such in the next podcast (recording tomorrow, Monday).
Matt: thanks for the love! Feel free to record and share our stuff all you want … whether live or recorded … it’s all free love baby!
Oh dear, I’m delirious … rest time!

Matt, I don’t mind about the taping as long as it isn’t edited to make it look like something it wasn’t, if you know what I mean. As long as it represents us as we were, I’m fine. But sure, share away via YouTube or whatever. I would ask that you let us know when it’s posted so we ourselves can also view it and point people to it. Deal? those are my requests
Thanks to everyone who WAs there and thanks for sharing in our time on stage…even though it was longer than we thought. Oh well!! We’ll chat about that later today!
Much love,
cb

Guess I read it as a geek and thought your hard drive crashed.
