Tea with Hungry Lucy #118 (Harry Pooters and Medicated Wipes)
Not much can really express this podcast other than just listening, so we’ll just tell you where to go for the OPM’s! CB was in “nod mode” with War-N this week with his picks of Alanis Morissette and her new album ‘Flavors of Entanglement‘ along with a powerful song by Amanda Palmer called ‘Astronaut’ and her new album ‘Who Killed Amanda Palmer’ due out in September. Both great picks from the OPM-Meister War-N!!
Another important mention is that HL are playing LIVE at The Dock here in Cincinnati with their old tour buddies ThouShaltNot on Thursday, July 31st!!! This was a lovely surprise to be worked out. Thanks, Alex!! HL are very much looking forward to this performance, and to see TSN again!
HL end this podcast with a live performance of their song ‘Softly‘ from the album ‘To Kill A King‘. See if you can spot the precise moment that War-N shifted the speed WAY up!!
OK then. Until next time, pull your own finger. It’s really quite fun!

Loved the live performance! Thanks!
As far as the live feed, I wanted to watch but had family commitments the past 2 podcasts. No big deal if you decide to stop doing the live streaming, it sounds like too much trouble. I’m happy with the podcast to listen too on my drive to work.

Thanks for that feedback. We may or may not continue with the live video stream. It does tend to make the mood a bit more high-stress around here!
Glad you liked the performance. I enjoyed performing it very much!
Take care,

Hey there, still listening, even though I’m not posting as much…
I’m sorry I missed the video podcast, had family over the last 2 times, but as Bibo said, it seemed like more trouble than it was worth.
Do wish I’d been there for the chat afterwards…
Funny thing, I WANTED to request that you sing ‘Softly’ but was too shy to ask, thought you’d sang it on here before… musta read my mind.

No one that listens to us, of all people, should be shy to ask anything
Speaking for myself (which is the only person I’d ever speak for), feel free to ask whatever you like. Be that a request for a song, a question about the lyrics/music or whatever. I”m happy to answer in most cases.
Talk to you guys on Sunday. I think a live stream is out for the time being. It certainly upped the stress level! So, back to the normal routine. We’ll make another ‘Life with Hungry Lucy’ soon, too. Been very busy.
Take care guys!

so sad i missed the live performance. i don’t know why warn was tripping so hard! must’ve been nerves. ryan and i have wanted to do something like this on ustream etc, too, but i confess i’m nervous about live feeds too. so much technology that can go wrong! our second life performance was pretty nerve wracking…
i’d love to see this live recording of “softly” go up on the podsafe music network. i would totally play it! i think christa sounded even better than on the record. kudos!!!
