Tea with Hungry Lucy #120 (kerli and blunt)

Tea with Hungry Lucy (now with added socks)In episode 120 of Tea with Hungry Lucy, Christa and War-N give us all the juicy details of their recent show with Thoushaltnot at The Dock in Cincinnati. War-N talks about keeping himself to himself, and then feels he’s contradicted himself. Christa raises an interesting issue whether it’s better to coexist with people of differing views or group together with like-minded people. That got War-N thinking far too hard. What are your thoughts on the matter? Christa also speaks indirectly to Anji Bee of Lovespirals regarding the song “Storm” and a shared experience.

Other People’s Music for this week include:

Folks in San Francisco, don’t miss Stripmall Architecture @ Cafe du Nord on Aug. 13th

With the sign you said they have in the meat dept. it makes me wonder if they put the morningstar products as a joke. One store I go to marks the morningstar products as “meat” and has them in a freezer with actual meat products. But I think their main HQ may just be confused with the meatless items.

Meijer on the other hand puts theirs in the frozen food section. And most meijers now have a freezer that only contains morningstar and boca products.

I still have friends and family that want me to know what kind of meat they had for dinner. I finally had to put one coworker in his place as I got sick of hearing it and he thought he was being funny, yet knew he wasn’t. I too don’t like confrontation but I can only take so much before I will embarass someone for being a dick. This shuts them up.

On another note, it still amazes me that people think vegetarians eat seafood and chicken. Just had a coworker tell me this place had great shrimp I could have because I’m a vegetarian. Sigh.

Yeah…non-vegetarians don’t “get it” at all most of the time. Our families have learned what is and isn’t vegetarian and ask if it will bother us if they have certain things and what they shouldn’t put in something they are making for us.

War-N said it was a “sign” in the department, but it’s actually t-shirts in the meat department. I got clarification of that yesterday when I was at the store.

Oddly, it doesn’t bother me much about watching someone prepare a fillet of steak or something already de-boned. But, if it is to do with de-boning some animal or that kind of thing, I must not see it!! I don’t like the fillets, but it doesn’t make me want to cry. I almost had to make meatloaf for my Mom when she was sick, and I was going to do it, but then my sister Shara came in just in time and did it!! Ground meat has always given me the “heebee jeebee’s”!! So have whole chickens/poultry. You know…those vegetable chickens!! ;)

Anyhoo, glad to know we’re not alone in our struggles as veg heads. Thanks, Bibo!

    Take are all!
