The latest single by Polish electro/darkwave band God’s Bow called “Helpline” has just been released. The single includes Hungry Lucy’s downtempo remix of the song “This Perfect Time”. Information on acquiring the single can be found on God’s Bow’s Myspace blog.

After far too long, we are pleased to announce the winners of the Hungry Lucy, Make Your Own Damn T-Shirt contest. As we mentioned on the podcast, it will be a few months before these t-shirts are available … stay tuned! a HUGE thanks to everybody that entered the contest … we really appreciate your time, effort and creativity.

Be honest, you find some band t-shirts boring and unimaginative, right? You could do a much better job, right? Well, now is your chance! Hungry Lucy is taking the lazy approach and asking YOU to design our next t-shirt. The winner will have their design immortalized and mass-produced for all the world to see. You will proudly be able to proclaim, "Now THAT’s a good t-shirt!". So, submit your t-shirt design to us by sending us a JPEG (under 500k please) to tshirts@hungrylucy.com. There are a few guidelines to which the winning design must adhere. We will accept submissions until April 1, 2007. Shortly after that, the winner will be announced and YOUR t-shirt will go into production.

For the second year in a row, Hungry Lucy has been nominated for a Cincinnati Entertainment Award in the "Experimental/Electronic" category. Last year, because of YOUR vote, we actually won! We would very much like to win again this year so we can deliver a more fitting acceptance speech than, "Wha? …. we won?!?! … huh!?!?".

We have a limited supply of Hungry Lucy’s first ever DVD, Second Sight - video collection vol.1 , available at hungrylucy.com. This DVD specially created for the tour features music videos for the songs "Fearful", "Grave", " You Are", "Harvest" and "Losing Faith" as well as the 15 minutes behind the scenes documentary "Introducing Hungry Lucy" and the "Inside the Grave" making of Grave documentary. The DVD will only be available at our live shows and at hungrylucy.com while supplies last. This is one for collectors and uber-fans for sure as it will likely not be available for very long.

Rather than spend months in production, this time around the duo present “Before We Stand … We Crawl” as a collection of six raw, emotional songs. These basic arrangements use piano, acoustic guitar, strings, wind instruments and sparse drum parts to underpin Christa Belle’s heart-felt lyrics and highly emotive vocals. Taking the “less is more” approach, the duo purposely left each song exposed with emotion at the surface, stripping away any pretense that may surround electronic music.

We are just three weeks away from the US release date for the Neil Gaiman CD, “Where’s Neil When You Need Him?” The US release is July 18th, and the European release
date has now been confirmed as August 18th. GET THE CD HERE.
