Not much can really express this podcast other than just listening, so we’ll just tell you where to go for the OPM’s! CB was in “nod mode” with War-N this week with his picks of Alanis Morissette and her new album ‘Flavors of Entanglement‘ along with a powerful song by Amanda Palmer called ‘Astronaut’ and her new album ‘Who Killed Amanda Palmer’ due out in September. Both great picks from the OPM-Meister War-N!!
Another important mention is that HL are playing LIVE at The Dock here in Cincinnati with their old tour buddies ThouShaltNot on Thursday, July 31st!!! This was a lovely surprise to be worked out. Thanks, Alex!! HL are very much looking forward to this performance, and to see TSN again!
HL end this podcast with a live performance of their song ‘Softly‘ from the album ‘To Kill A King‘. See if you can spot the precise moment that War-N shifted the speed WAY up!!
OK then. Until next time, pull your own finger. It’s really quite fun!
Just a quick note to let fellow podcasters know that you can now get EVERY Hungry Lucy song via the Podsafe Music Network (AKA Podshow/Mevio). We’ve always stated that we’re totally cool with podcasters playing ANY of our songs. After all, you’re helping to tell the world about us! Until now, though, there hasn’t been an easy way to actually acquire these tracks.
So, head on over to the Podsafe Music Network and grab our music for your podcast. We have 65 tracks up there to choose from. Everything from ambient/downtempo to dark-and-gothy to bumpy-bumpy club mixes. If you do play our music on your podcast, please let us know. Then we can tell the world about your fab podcast as well. It’ll also make us feel all special and tingley.
In this week’s Tea with Hungry Lucy War-N & Christa share a preview of a new song (working title: Pajamas), likely title “The Best Day of Her Life”. We get to hear the original noisy piano recording, and the newly arranged music. Christa talks about her bad week, that ends with a nice family time on Saturday. Christa also talks about her preference for listening to music she can sing along with. War-N does the opposite, but did enjoy Christa’s effort in singing along with “Golden Boy” by Severed Heads … frightening!
